Declaration of Faith

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe in his virgin birth, His substitutionary death for all men, His resurrection, and His eventual premillennial return. (John 3:16)

Salvation

We believe all men are born with a sinful nature and that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and shed His blood to redeem man from the power of sin.  We believe that his salvation is available to all who will receive it in faith. (Ephesians 2:8) We believe sanctification will follow salvation as a sign of true conversion. (1 Thessalonians 4:13)

The Godhead

We believe in the Holy Trinity, one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person in the Trinity.  The Holy Spirit is manifested in our lives by the fruits and gifts of the Spirit. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking of tongues, and prophesying as the Spirit gives the utterance.  (Galatians 5; Acts 2; 1 Corinthians 12)

The Sacred Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the complete revelation of God's will for mankind. We believe in the absolute authority of the scriptures to govern the affairs of men.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

Stewardship

We believe that every man is the steward of his life and resources which ultimately belong to God. We believe that tithing is a measure of obedience to the scriptural principles of stewardship.  (Malachi 3:10)

Prayer and Praise

We believe in the worship of the Lord through singing, clapping, and the lifting of hands. We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord for his or her needs.  We also believe in divine healing, the laying on of hands, and in the anointing of oil by the elders of the church. (Psalm 98:4; James 5)

Ordinances

Water Baptism - We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior should be baptized in water as a public profession of faith. (Mark 16:16)

Holy Communion - We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements–bread & the fruit of the vine. This is a memorial of his suffering & death and a prophecy of his second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26)
